Any college student will tell you that their schedules are already more than they can handle, and that the addition of a part time job seems unrealistic.
This is why so many students are searching for simple, fun and easy part time college jobs.
The following are four employment opportunities which may prove to be a perfect fit for a student looking to make extra cash on weekends and evenings.
A college student can find the perfect amount of hours and pay when offering a tutoring service at a near by high school or public school.
Often parents will contact a college student and offer a generous wage to privately tutor a child at their home after school. The hourly wage for three to five private lessons can easily compete with that of a more demanding and time consuming position.
Library Services: Many college campuses will have a library which, while open for students during the day, is also made available to the public during the evenings and weekends.
These libraries often need additional employees to help with daily tasks such as organizing retuned books, cleaning lounge areas and setting up promotional displays for special events.
These positions are not only easy part time student jobs but are also convenient with flexible hours and on-campus locations.
Coach: Submitting a resume to an organization such as the YMCA or YWCA can lead to an incredible part time college job coaching children and teens anything from sports and games to music and dance.
These courses are always offered on weekends or evenings and can pay anywhere between $12 and $20 an hour!
Lab Supervisor: Some colleges will offer a part time position to supervise a specific classroom such as computer or science labs. These rooms often contain expensive materials or equipment and even dangerous or harmful chemicals.
These are all reasons why the room can not be left unsupervised while students study and use the facility after hours. This is possibly the easiest part time college job, but it may also be the one with the most responsibility.
It is important when looking for a part time college job to focus on more than just hourly wage and free weekends.
Finding a position which is rewarding and enjoyable is just as vital and can lead to successful career choices in the future!
